The following is a list of events and or projects that featured Kira Thompson's artwork.


RAW Washington DC Presents SAVOR

 RAW showcases indie talent in visual art, film, fashion design, music, performance art, hair and makeup artistry and photography. RAW is a fun and alternative way for artists to showcase both to their local community and the world at large. Kira showcased her artwork with RAW for the first time on November 16, 2017 at the Howard Theater in Washington, DC.

Broccoli City Festival x aCreativeDC

A collaboration between the Broccoli City Festival and aCreativeDC. Kira and other artists were asked to create original artwork based on the lineup of artists and performers taking part in the Broccoli City Festival 2017.

Aunty's Tea Party 2

Aunt's Tea Party is an all girl event aimed at creating a space for young female artists to share their work, grow, and connect with one another. Featuring visual artists, photographers, merchandise, live painting, and live performances from female artists in the DMV area.  Kira showcased her artwork at the Open Studio D.C. location on October 16, 2016.

Arts on the Block

The only organization in the Washington, D.C., area offering youth of diverse backgrounds the opportunity to learn first-hand about the intersection of art, design, and business by engaging in real-world projects. One of those projects was a mosaic piece that Kira created during the D.C. Summer Youth Employment session. The art show was held at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery on August 7, 2014

City Arts DC

City Arts DC is a D.C.-based community art program that pairs student apprentices with artists. We planed, sketched, and created a mural for the Holy Rosary Church in Washington, D.C. The group of student apprentices also worked on their own pieces to showcase at the Art Enables D.C. location in 2013.
